Normal operation takes it toll on the 1-2 or reverse servo bore in 4T60 & E units as repeated oscillation eventually wears or scores the bore. Sonnax has designed a 1-2 or reverse servo and sleeve kit, 84791-01K, that contains everything necessary to salvage the case.
Symptoms:
2-3 Flare Delayed
Forward only in OD range
Delayed Reverse
Low line pressure
No 3rd
Reverse slip
Cause:
The 1-2 or reverse servo bore can become worn or scored from repeated oscillation during normal operation.
Correction:
This 1-2 or reverse servo & sleeve kit salvages cases with a worn or scored servo bore and improves reverse, 2-3, 3-2 shift control.
